BVC

Violence is one of the most important and problematic behaviours that can displayed by mentally ill individuals. During recent years of extensive research has been done to improve our understanding and knowledge about this phenomenon. This research has developed an increased awareness and raised the quality of care and therapy given to mentally ill patients who display violence.
Nurses and staff members are best placed to play a central role in this risk assessment process and treatment planning in (psychiatric) Health Care.

Advantages using BVC* or BVC-CH

The BVC was developed in order to create an effective risk management intervention for the prevention of aggression in forensic care. Most characteristic of this risk management method is that the focus is on the early warning signs of aggression. With competent nursing attention, the signs can be detected during daily care. In addition, the method helps patient and nurse attune their perspectives on the risk of aggression and how to manage this risk with a particular patient.

To register easy and complete, generating analyses and also planning preventative measures and input for training.
